Our Impact

Every day, local nonprofits provide critical support to our most vulnerable neighbors. But funding for these much-needed programs often doesn’t cover the cost of food. Community Cooks’ simple but powerful model harnesses the power of community to fill the gap, reaching people in need and the programs that serve them. Three core principles set our approach and our impact apart.

It’s Personal

We believe that sharing food provides more than physical nourishment alone. For our neighbors experiencing food insecurity, our home-cooked meals are a sign of solidarity and care—a way for us to affirm you matter.

The Ripple Effect

We believe in pooling resources to reach as many people and organizations in need as possible. By contributing meals to 37 partner agencies, we support many different missions and feed a wide range of populations.

A Shared Responsibility

We believe we all have a role to play in ensuring there is a place at the table for everyone. By rallying individuals and businesses, along with civic, educational, and faith-based groups to prepare monthly meals, we promote community engagement and offer our cooks of all ages a way to weave volunteerism into the fabric of their lives.
