Protecting the Privacy of Our Donors and Volunteers

Community Cooks takes our responsibility to maintain our donors’ and volunteers’ privacy with respect to personally identifiable information very seriously.

Community Cooks will not sell, share or trade our donors’ or volunteers’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors or volunteers on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information received by Community Cooks, both online and offline, as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.

Gift Acceptance Policy

Pledges and payments to Community Cooks may be made using cash, credit card, transfer of appreciated securities, or electronic transfer. Other forms of giving to Community Cooks, including grants, bequests, gifts-in-kind, and other assets, are accepted following advance discussion when necessary with the agency Leadership.

Information We Collect

Community Cooks collects personally identifiable information (which may include name, email address, mailing address, and phone number) when you register to join our email list, make a donation, attend an event, volunteer or complete a volunteer form, or otherwise participate in one of our programs or events.

Use of Information

Community Cooks uses the personally identifiable information we collect about donors, volunteers and supporters to process donations and purchases at your request, acknowledge your charitable gifts, and to send various email and print communications in furtherance of our fundraising and programmatic objectives.

Sharing of Information

Community Cooks will never sell, trade or rent names, addresses, telephone numbers or e-mail addresses of our donors, clients, employees or volunteers.

Community Cooks uses third-party credit card processors and a third-party email management system. We share personal information with these businesses only to the extent required to facilitate these transactions and communications.

Updating Your Personal Information and Unsubscribing

You may unsubscribe from Community Cooks emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of each email and following the instructions provided at that link.
